Before we Proceed

We highly recommend using a VPN when using Kodi. Kodi users have been known to receive copyright infringement notices for streaming movies, sports, and TV shows through various App. If you would like to keep your streaming habits private, our recommendation is IPVanish - a complete privacy solution for Kodi users. It's also worth noting that purchasing a 12 month subscription will give you two months free.

Which channels carry boxing matches?

If you’re primarily interested in watching live international boxing matches, you need an addon that has UK sports channels. Sky Sports and BoxNation broadcast all the best WBO (World Boxing Organization) and WBC (World Boxing Council) matches.

On the other hand, if you want to watch American PBC (Premier Boxing Champions) matches, you need access to all four major US broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC) as well as several major US cable sports channels.  ESPN, CBS Sports Network, FS1, and NBCSN, Spike and Bounce TV are all licensed to broadcast PBC matches.

The 5 best boxing App for Kodi

In my opinion, SportsDevil is the all-around best addon for watching boxing.  If you can’t find the live match you want to see there, check out streams on Made in Canada IPTV or one of FilmOn’s 7 boxing channels via Castaway.

KO Boxing is the only Kodi addon that’s totally dedicated to boxing, but it relies on YouTube for content.  So, all it has is recordings of classic boxing matches.

SportsDevil has working streams

Installation steps:

  1. Download the latest SportsDevil zip file to your desktop from here: https://github.com/kodil/kodil/tree/master/repo/plugin.video.SportsDevil
  2. Then install it by going to Addons → Package Symbol (top left) → Install from zip, and locate the zip file in your C: drive or wherever your downloads are usually saved.

Check out our SportsDevil guide for more info.

After Pro Sports, SportsDevil is probably the best sports App for Kodi. Lots of links to TV channels that broadcast boxing can be found in its submenus.

Right now, the best place to go for TV feeds on SportsDevil seems to be its ShadowNet.ro (World TV) menu. To find the ShadowNet.ro page, go to Live TV from SportsDevil’s main menu.

Via live tv → shadownet.ro (world tv) → UK Channels menu, I was able to find working boxing streams. The quality of the feed was a bit poor, but at least you can tune in here to watch live fights without paying for a ton of cable channels that you don’t want or need.

For links to USA boxing matches, from the SportsDevil main menu go to live tv → shadownet.ro (world tv) → USA Channels.  Most of the feeds on the USA Channels list didn’t work, but after clicking around a bit I was able to find working links.

Made in Canada IPTV has a large number of streaming options

Through its Sports Central section, Made in Canada IPTV makes itself your go-to place for sports of all kinds, boxing included. The best thing about MiC is the quality of the streams and just how quickly those streams load up.

Check out our Made in Canada IPTV guide for more.

Made in Canada IPTV

For boxing matches, you’ll need to know which channels you’re looking for. There’s a good chance that Made in Canada IPTV has those channels, even those that aren’t in Canada. That’s because, despite the name, Made in Canada IPTV actually specializes in US, UK, and Canadian content.

Positively, most of the streams work on here, something that most other App can’t make a claim to. That’s because Made in Canada IPTV is heavily supported by its developer, receiving fairly regular updates. It’s also not the most popular service, which works in its favor as that means it’s more likely to work.

Watch 7 FilmOn boxing channels for free on Castaway

Installation guide:

You can find this one in the SuperRepo repository. After you have SuperRepo installed, simply go to Addons > package symbol (top left) > Install from repository, then go to SuperRepo and locate FilmOn Simple.

FilmOn was founded by Greek billionaire Alki David back in 2006. It has become one of the world’s largest free TV streaming sites, although as of 2017 FilmOn is now has a paid subscription service.

filmon how to watch boxing on kodi

FilmOn broadcasts tons of free live sports channels, including 7 that are dedicated to boxing.  The only problem is that the official FilmOn TV Kodi addon doesn’t work anymore.  So, you have to visit the official FilmOn website to watch FilmOn’s content– that is, unless you have Castaway.

If you go to live TV → filmon.com → sports from Castaway’s main menu, you’ll discover a motherlode of live boxing channels:

  • 1 on 1 Boxing TV
  • Armed Forces Boxing/US Army
  • FilmOn Boxing
  • Live Boxing
  • Inside the Ring
  • Pugilism TV
  • The Ring TV

These 7 boxing channels broadcast all kinds of live boxing games from around the world as well as classic boxing matches from years ago.

cCloud TV is an (inconsistent) source

The greatest thing about cCloud TV is the thousands of channels offered through here. The bad thing about cCloud TV is that with so many channels, and a support structure that is somewhat lacking, you’re really looking at a bit of a hit or a miss.

You’ll almost certainly find the channels you’re looking for on cCloud, as we have, but finding working ones can be a bit of a challenge. There are usually multiple sources for different channels listed, but you’ll find yourself playing a somewhat unfun game of cat and mouse looking for the one that works. However, when you do find the working ones, they’re absolutely stellar in quality and load times.

For classic boxing YouTube videos, get KO Boxing

Installation guide:

  1.  First download the KO Boxing zip file to your desktop.
  2.  Then, go to system → settings → App → install from zip file.

KO Boxing is the only boxing specific Kodi addon I could find.  Because KO Boxing relies on YouTube for content, the main feature it brings to the table is its menu system.

KO Boxing’s main menu divides its content into 8 categories:

  • Classic Boxing Matches
  • Classic Boxing Matches 2
  • Full Boxing Matches
  • Full Boxing Matches 2
  • HBO Boxing Greatest Hits
  • HBO Boxing Highlights
  • IFL TV
  • UK Fights

The developer probably split “Classic Boxing Matches” and “Full Boxing Matches” into two parts to make the menus load faster.  Unfortunately, there is no search bar and you can’t browse matches by fighter.

You won’t find any recent games or live feeds on KO Boxing.  But if all you want to do is watch a few YouTube videos of famous boxing matches, it’s worth installing.

  • MKE433

Having a issue getting access to the KO Boxing plugin or any plugins on the top tutorials repo in Kodi 17.1. I only see links to build, international and repo, there is no link for App like there is in Kodi 16. I’ve tried everything that I know. Any suggestions from you pros that my allow me to download KO Boxing.

excellent post alex. been looking for boxing App. trying something similar for boxing App other than other than “rinse-repeat” sports devil because sometimes, sportsdevil may not fetch streams. so it’s always handy to have something as a backup. trying the same thing somewhat with ivacy and ipvanish alternation. better to have options that to miss the fights i can not afford to miss
